Neuron VS in the international media
It's been 6 months since Neuron VS hit the market. Long enough for plenty of reviews in many international magazines. And reviewers are excited about the sonic possibilities of the instrument.
"There are sounds that tell a whole story or are able to support a complete film scene by just playing one note and animating it with a few controller movements..." says Bjoern Bojahr in "Keyboards Magazine", Germany, April 2005.
Derek Johnson from British magazine S.O.S. states "...sometimes it seems perilously close to being out of control, but often in a good way. This is as much a sound designer’s tool as anything, and bizarre soundscapes and otherworldly hits can be easily, if not always predictably produced." Derek concludes: "surprisingly easy to use", "the bundled Nuke controller integrates well with the software" and "genuine Neuron sound at a 3.000 Pounds saving".
Brent Hover from the US hardware and software provider "audiomidi.com" closes his feature on the instrument with the words: "The Neuron VS, like the original Neuron is an amazing sounding synth. Which, with both a unique User Interface and a unique sound, goes where no synth has gone before, at a more affordable price. Aside from its high price and power-hungry nature, the Neuron is the best soft-synth I have ever seen (and I’ve seen a few).

This comes as no surprise since Neuron VS represents no less than the 1:1 portation of the original, exclusive Neuron Keyboard sound engine. Only the 5.1 option and the master effect section of the keyboard version are not included. Installed on a powerful host system, Neuron VS is capable of producing the same rich and powerful sound as the Neuron Keyboard itself.

MODELmaker now also available for Neuron VS users!
 OK, you win! Many Neuron VS users have been asking for MODELmaker, the software that makes it possible to transform own samples into neuronal Models. Since its release in December, users and potential users have complained in different forums that MODELmaker was not included in the Neuron VS package. Many conversations with users also just a few days ago at winter NAMM in Anaheim/California - have finally convinced us to open up this very important and individual part of neuronal synthesis to Neuron VS users as well
From today, MODELmaker is freely available to all registered Neuron VS users. Just go to www.hartmann-music.com/home/members where you can download MODELmaker for Mac OS 9 / OS X and PC as well as the MODELmaker manual PDF.
Under the same link, there will also be a software update for Neuron VS shortly.
